A new way of buying flour ...
We sell top quality bread and baking flour
(every type) in large 2.5kg bags, at cost price.
Customers add a donation each time they order, helping fund the provision of emergency food boxes in deprived areas of Sheffield and contribute to our work at St. Anne’s.
Why do we need to do this?
In Peak District villages the Covid crisis has been mostly manageable. But for inner city families who were already on the breadline, it has been a disaster.
Many have lost their jobs, their kids are at home without school meals and limited public transport means they can’t get to the supermarket.
Families who were getting by are suddenly in need of food to help them get through this crisis. Demand at Foodbanks has increased by 300% since the lockdown started. Sadly, the very real need for support is continuing.
Flour4Foodbanks is a partnership between St Anne’s Church in Baslow and St Mary’s in Sheffield to respond to this need by providing nutritious food boxes.
Our emergency food parcels are delivered to over 260 addresses each week

About St Anne's response
to the Covid Crisis
We understand that we need to be connected both within the village and to wider communities.
Baking brings people and families together - and rediscovering this joy has been one of the unexpected positives in this period. By enabling people to adopt a new way of buying their flour and yeast, and because of our of volunteers, we are also able to respond to the needs of
people in deprived areas.
Food4Foodbanks is a way of creating connections and channeling the resources to provide help where it is desperately needed. So it really is flour for good!
Please support us.
St. Anne’s is delighted to be working with St. Mary’s in Sheffield, a connection formed through Rev’d Graham Duncan who is assistant priest at St Anne’s and director of St Mary’s Community Centre.
